What’s so ironic is that NO ONE – not the university, the team, the coaches, NO ONE – would have had a CLUE about these guys posing on fratmen.tv if not for the “anonymous” blabbermouth. So, if anyone is to blame it’s that person.

WordPress showed some judgement, they may want to expand their look.

Personally, I thought we were beyond this, drunk, disorderly OK slap their wrists. Football team was doing what compared to this?

The more we complain or act “righteous” toward imposing our opinions to what is considered right or wrong, the less chance we have at moving on to better things.

A college wrestler poses in a Gay Magazine – better that than robbing a campus store at gun point and raping a women. He harmed nobody but perhaps himself, let it go.

Getting kicked off wrestling and perhaps not able to attend school because of lack of scholarship or whatever? Big deal! I don’t know about Kenny, but Paul can make a bundle in gay porn. He can live and go to school where he wants while he pursues his porn career. He can even parlay the porn into his own website with lucrative dancing and escorting gigs. As long as he stays away from the drugs, Paul now stands to make more money than he could have ever dreamed of with a crappy sociology degree from NU. Paul’s got the big money maker.

chris, you summed it up when you said they were paid. It wouldn’t matter if that were for working at the local McDonald’s or posing for this site, either one is violation of NCAA regulations regarding student income. The rules may seem overly tight but they are designed to keep (supposedly) boosters from hiring kids for do-nothing jobs at outrageous rates and claiming it’s just regular employment.

I think the NCAA rule all the moralist are citing refers to commercial enterprises where the athlete, representing him or herself as an athlete of said school, has the image used to support a product or business.

However, this is not the case.

There was no mention on the website that these were student athletes at Nebraska.

The website used stage names, not their real names.

Using the logic of some of you, then there should be no pictures of athletes in newspapers, magazines or television since those are commercial operations.

Also, for those saying that they weren’t paid for the photo shoot, what planet are you living on? They were paid.

As for the silly parents argument, it falls apart when you start referring to young adults (18+) as children. As long as the team is winning, people won’t give two shits about the behavior of two athletes. I refer you to every collegiate scandal involving an athlete, with alcohol or fighting.

Well, all hope of rational conversation is abandoned once the buzzwords of “family” and “Christian” are brought into the discussion. I firmly believe that religion will eventually be the downfall of this country. I know faith can be a constructive thing in people’s lives, giving comfort, as a source of charity, etc. But increasingly, religion is used as a dividing line and a bludgeon to try to pound everyone into thinking and behaving one way.
I say bravo to these boys- they’re students, they’re athletes and they are entrepreneurs. It’s nobody’s goddamn business what they do.

Sorry but your argument if flawed. They both made a choice to pose nude and masturbate on film for cash, knowing what the potential consequences were by doing so. Sport camps for kids are promoted as family friendly and the argument that “there are parents that wouldn’t send their kids to a camp that had minorities” is flawed. Most parents WOULD send their kids to camp that was taught by a minority, or was a democrat, etc…. but they wouldn’t send their child to a camp or clinic that would have someone that is associated with gay pornography. You can disagree with that but its true.

You CAN NOT use your image while your are a NCAA athlete for ANY commercial purposes and get paid for it, it doesn’t matter if you are representing your school or not if you are an athlete those are the rules. Fratmen.tv is a COMMERCIAL PAY SITE.
